Yazmin
Yazmine’s life dream is to make a positive impact in the world, and hopes to one day be able to be the President of the United States. Her dad calls her his gipsee daughter because of all the places she has lived, from the sunshine of Florida and the now famous state of New York. Moving around has allowed Yazmine to see different parts of the world, which has given her the passion for Human Rights. As an entering high school senior and being a distinguished high honor roll student in high school, Yazmine has fallen in love with her studies which has allowed her to be a part of different honor societies, as well as have big dreams. As the editor of the school newspaper she is able to write about current events and help other people see the world in a different way, she is also a member of her school's debate team. Yazmine is also the founder of the school club, “Breaking News Club '' where she is able to help people develop their own opinions and ideas of current issues. In her free time she loves volunteering around her community and sometimes even around the world. She is the President of the Yorktown Leos Community Club, helps teachers and staff during the summer and school years at the OSD, a part of the RedCross family, and she also works with children with disabilities as a volunteer for SPARC. Her next goal is to get into a prestigious university where she can study to become a lawyer, so that way she can dedicate life while doing what she is passionate for which is to fight for Human Rights.
